We fell upon this place as visitors to AKL. What fabulous staff firstly! Great service. Then the food, so flavoursome , good value and beautifully presented. The desserts were divine.

From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional – warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. You can tell the team really cares about the guest experience. The noodles were delicious, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked, but the real standout was the scallop wonton. Smooth, delicate, almost shy at first – and then bam! – the chilli oil hits with a bold, beautiful punch. It’s a dish that’s both elegant and fiery, and absolutely outstanding. Ghost Street nails the balance of refined textures with powerful flavours. I will definitely be back. I’ve told my friend Aurimas (based here) that it’s the perfect date night venue too!

I recently visited Ghost Street, a restaurant in the basement of a building in Auckland. The location is a bit obscure, and the restaurant is often crowded, which can make it difficult for the waitstaff to provide attentive service. However, the food is delicious, and I would recommend trying everything on the menu, especially the egg tart for dessert. The portions are below average, and the prices are not cheap, so be prepared to pay a lot if you order more than one dish.

Trendy atmosphere with a sense of secrecy. This place pack a flavour punch. Every single dish had loads of flavor. I do like how they let the Hokkaido scallop wontons shine with just a hint of soy and vinegar. The egg tarts were amazing and reminded me of old school yum cha from 30 years ago from places like New Asia. Overall a very pleasant experience and would recommend.

Good dining although some food is a bit bland. The brisket and snapper was very well done. Great atmosphere. Not cheap, but nothing is anymore. Recommended for a memorable night out.

Kind of sad we didn’t visit sooner. All the food we ordered were delicious. The wontons are definitely pricey but they were also very delicious - great sauce. Didn’t expect to be so impressed by the tofu- great flavours. The biang biang noodles are popular for a reason, not too salty and amazing texture. Char siu was a tad dry but not to the point where it affected our overall experience. Really like the open kitchen and overall style of the interior. Very friendly staff! Definitely will be back.

The service, ambience, food and vibe were top notch!!! We sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching them prepare and cook right in front of us. If you’re in Auckland and looking for a good foodie spot, I highly recommend this place! We had one of the best dinners in Auckland here.
